Bio

Siddhartha Gigoo is a novelist, short story writer, anthologist, and filmmaker. In 2015, he won the Commonwealth Short Story Prize for his short story, The Umbrella Man. 

His stories have been longlisted for Lorian Hemingway Short Story Prize (2018), Royal Society of Literature’s V.S. Pritchett Short Story Prize (2018), and Seán O'Faoláin Short Story Prize (2019). In 2021, his short story Elephant's Tusk won the New Asian Short Story Prize 2021.

His writings have been published in several magazines. His short films have won several awards at International Film Festivals.

Siddhartha holds a Master's degree in English Literature from Jawaharlal Nehru University.
