Siddhartha Gigoo

Bio

Siddhartha Gigoo is a novelist, short story writer, anthologist, and filmmaker. His short story, The Umbrella Man, won the Commonwealth Short Story Prize (2015) for Asia. Another of his short story, The Christmas Dinner, received an honorable mention in the 38th Lorian Hemingway Short Story Competition 2018. His writings have been published in several magazines. His short films have won several awards at International Film Festivals.


Siddhartha holds a Master's degree in English Literature from Jawaharlal Nehru University. He's also a flautist.


Siddhartha also co-founded Daalaan, a Hindi literary magazine.
